Digital Photography and Film Difference

I really like this photo, it's so Florida, ohh soo Key Westy.

But, there's a problem. See the line that makes up this stoggie-smokin' guy's arm.

There's no depth to it. Film doesn't do that.

Please, photographers, you got any gripes about digital?
